Frequently Asked Questions

BurNarj
- How is BurNarj low in sugar, low in calories, high in vitamins and antioxidants?

BurNarj is lower in sugar both naturally and by production. Sugar content and calories are major selling points for us. Andalusian oranges haver a thinner peel and are low in acidity and residual sugar, resulting in juicy and flavorful fruit.

With these special oranges and through the process of 2nd fermentation, we craft a lower sugar, lower calorie sparkling wine with superior flavor and natural effervescence with fine, persistent
bubbles.

In addition to Vitamin C, BurNarj contains folate, vitamin B-6, potassium and calcium. Oranges contain beneficial phytonutrients called flavonoids that may help control cholesterol and provide
antioxidant protection.

Oranges illustrate another reason why natural sugar is healthy, while sugar added to foods contributes to weight gain: They’re filled with nutrients; added sugar is just empty calories.

One navel orange supplies 82.7 milligrams of vitamin C. This value exceeds women
recommended dietary allowance of 75 milligrams and nearly fulfills the 90 milligrams of vitamin C men should get daily.N

- Is BurNarj champagne?

We love champagne but BurNarj is not champagne. Champagne is only produced from grapes in Champagne, France. California Champagne is not champagne. It is California Sparkling wine.
BurNarj  is Spanish and close to Cava (2nd fermentation) so it can be casually described as “being like a Cava with oranges instead of grapes.”

- How is BurNarj made?

Freshly oranges are picked, cleaned, squeezed and filtered. The pulp and juice is where the flavor lies. Next come first fermentation in our stainless tanks, after 30-40 days, the liquid is bottled, capped and cellared in automated turn racks. The bottles are carefully nurtured for 7-9 months and then removing all residual sediment, pressure capped, labeled and placed in cases of 6 bottles, ready to be chilled and enjoyed.
